No, I'm not a Christian... I don't follow any religion and I don't give a frick what other people follow. Hence the reason that I asked the question. If people aren't hurting you, then leave them the frick alone.

But if you aren't talking religion with them, how do you know?

I RARELY talk religion with anyone, because my views aren't their business and theirs aren't mine.

There is actually two main reasons for this, and there always have been.

1. People are told that if they are to be enlightened, they are to reject religion.

2. Religion (those with belief in a transcendent God) demand control of your actions. People want to control thier own lives. (Jesus says not to have sex outside of a marriage covenant, people want to have sex outside of a marriage covenant, therefore God can't be real).

That's just your view. What if thier view was that your views are thier business. Who's right?

Look at the Noah's Ark thread.

Not the posters necessarily, but at how the intolerant people are reacting to the Ark.

They feel the need to convince us that we are wrong, because they are not so sure that they are right.

This is the issue though, you guys never leave it alone. Your beliefs have me judged before knowing me and infect our government and school systems like cancer.

Faith is okay.

Religion and the power it still has on policy making in this country is haulting progress.

I don't want my tax dollars to be spent on "In God we Trust" stickers for police cruisers. I dont want the youth thought snintelligen design over evolution. I don't want your personal beliefs based off absolutes to stop us from becoming greater as a country.

Funny how you guys can never leave it alone.

One tenet of atheism, much like veganism, going gluten-free, or subscribing to any other religion, is that they must evangelize and prove to the world how much better non-belief is and why believers are better, more intelligent people.
