Why do people leave stealership plate frames and decals on their cars?

Why do people give stealerships free advertising? We bought a new Honda earlier this year, first thing to go was the license plate frames and we removed the decal. They should be taking $1-2k off asking price for me to keep it on.

I make them remove that shite before I drive off the lot. And I change my own oil. Baw-style.

Because alot of people are really ignorant when it comes to their basic ability to use hand tools, modify things, fix things, disassemble things etc.

Drives me nuts. Car dealerships are some of the worst scumbags on earth. Yet, people drive around town giving them tons and tons of free advertising. It’s nauseating. As soon as I got a new truck a while back, every sticker and license cover came off immediately. If you want me to drive around with that shite on my truck, you better be paying half my truck note every month.

Do you just drain the used oil into the yard? After all, that's where it came from.

t-baw that's the trashiest thing I've ever heard of, take down the street and pour it down the storm drain like a civilized baw!

I’m guilty of this. 99.99% of the time, I’m usually nice to service employees. Waiters, people dealing with the public.

But, service techs at auto dealerships are lower than pond scum and absolutely rip you and everyone else off as much as they can and I don’t treat those worthless MFers with any respect. Only because they act like you’re stupid and just do what they want you to do. frick those guys. I recently went in for a recall on my wife’s vehicle and to figure out why her air bag light wouldn’t go off.

In the end, the car was in the shop for three days. Only 2 out of the 3 recalls were completed because “they didn’t have the part (yet, they had to order the other two recall parts, why not the third?) and to replace a bit of wiring to turn off the air bag light would cost .......$1100! I laughed, said give me my keys and left.

My sodium levels are high this morning. Apologies.

My favorite is the people who leave the dealer's web address in big bold letters on the back window. Not a small decal, but 1" letters across the back glass.

I agree.

I've got a fairly small, discreet decal on my truck. I typically hate those things but this one doesn't bother me. All my other vehicles, I've pretty much taken them off immediately.
