When I bought my truck from Mac Haik the first thing I did was take off the Mac Haik license plate holders in the front and rear and tossed them. Then I removed the sticker from the tailgate. Used a hair dryer to warm it up for one minute. It peeled right off and I wiped it with Goo Gone to remove any sticky residue. Washed it with soap and water. Done in 5 minutes.

I saw several Mac Haik stickers this AM when driving to work. Why keep this free advertisement on your vehicle?

Different story. I got a Line-X bedliner placed and on pickup I noticed they stuck a big Line-X sticker on my back window. I walked right up to it and ripped it off in front of them and threw it away. One guy said sorry man, our boss makes us put it on every car.

I don’t leave them on. In fact when you buy the car tell them you want it stripped. They know that means no advertising.

The dealership logo is one thing and usually subtle. This, however, is some bullshite.

Why? Were they going to beat me up and place a Line-X sticker on my forehead.

Why not just get the dealer to remove it for you?

That's what my wife did when she bought her Highlander. Ya they bitched about it, but in the end removed it.

Line-X bedliner

Not sure if they still do, but I got one when they first came out and they put a raised logo inside the spray they did in the truck bed.

I do this too.

I request all stickers or dealership stuff come off the vehicle before I pick it up.

And the dealer’s license plate from comes off when I get home.

Has anyone ever tried to use it as a way to lower the price just a little more? For instance take an additional $500 off and you can leave the sticker or I want it taken off my vehicle before I leave the lot.

Why would you take them off?

I ask the dealership to put on extras.

The old Ford pickups used to have the dealers name stamped into the rear bumper.

Some dealerships give service discounts if you use their license plate frame or have a sticker.

Some dealerships give free oil changes as long as you leave them on...

The same reason why people don't return shopping carts to the nearest corral or walk up one flight of stairs
