This is my theory. In order for humans to evolve from chimps, it would require some type of selective breeding. It would require chimps with certain physical traits and intelligence to reproduce with other chimps with certain physical traits and intelligence..
I don't think that is how we became human. We are just another animal. There use to be other types of humans (archaic humans like Neanderthals for example) and we evolved from them into what we are today. Through out intelligence we are able to continue to evolve..

Someone hasn't paid much attention to society today. You can't evolve as a species if all of the stupid and weak survive because you put warning labels on everything and tell people not to make toast in the bathtub.

Not to mention paying unproductive people (on welfare) to have kids while productive people are either too busy or can’t afford kids. It’s like reverse evolution.

A watermelon is 98% water. The human body is 60% water. Does that mean we are part watermelon, too?
