Actually, it’s going to cost us more money via the “marriage penalty” than if we were filing separately as unmarried people.

I got married and we signed a prenup stating all assets obtained prior to marriage remain with each in the event of divorce. Only assets obtained post marriage would be split

Maybe men (and women) cling instinctively to marriage because something (or someone) programmed men and women that way. Perhaps some men want (and need) to spend their lives with that one remarkable woman. A woman he can cherish, protect, and love. Same with women.
Children need to see sacrificial love actualized. So many see only violence, death, and hatred.

Just dumb. Subscribe to the “why not both” mentality and do bachelorhood to its fullest until mid thirties and then settle down with a woman worth marrying? Raise family. Have it all.
I’m guessing you aren’t near old enough to realize a lot of things. Good luck

Also you’ll reach an age where it’s hard to find women and wish you had someone to share your life with.
Unless you’re wealthy then your odds of finding strange after 50 years old is going to diminish greatly and you’ll be lonely as frick because all your friends will disappear as they will have families of their own

You ever hear about pre/post nups?

Or they'll most likely have massive amounts of baggage. That can probably be said for +40 too.

If you're not planning on having kids, there is zero benefit for a man. These modern women are a royal PITA. I swear social media has created a bunch of narcissistic monsters that run on emotions.

Saw that video too

You're forgetting the first part of the equation. You will not have anywhere near 100% of your assets at any point in your life.
The gubment will have taken 8% in sales tax on anything you bought, the state goverment will have taken a couple of other percnt and the federals will have taken a significant share of what you earned.
Every penny you've spent chasing then next perfect woman is gone. Do you even remember their names (or what they told you their names wore?) (Maybe one of them left you a microscopic something to remember them by, but that just further attacks your yearly income.
Maybe you want to date women who don't like men enough to get to know them. That works for some, both ways.
But what I've seen with my unmarried men friends (I am a woman married to the same man for 30+ years) is that they have no one to bounce ideas off of. There's no one to help them make decisions, and the lack of a rudder of any kind makes life a lot more difficult.
Spouses love and help. They are even additional exemptions on your taxes. They may even earn significant salaries and your life might be better if someone cared about you.

Why do men still get conned into being with women when there are no benefits for men?
I’ve been married to my wife for over 40 years and if you choose well it’s the best thing you could do.

Bc when a man works 12-15 hours a day - there’s a nice woman who has kept house and cooked waiting for him - everyday

Worked out for me and no complaints.
I am sure she annoys the heck out of me.
I annoy the heck out of her.
It has been good though.
Oh, yeah get a hot tub.

Tax benefit.
Also some people may want the family so it’s better for the raising of kids if you are together.
Maybe putting LLC in wife’s name to get all the woman owned business loans?
I still think it’s a bad deal unless you are dead set in raising children with them.

You seem to see marriage as something that is transactional and “what’s in it for me” seems to be your only consideration.
Given this, you should never get married.

Been married for 18 years, together for 22 in April.
I wouldn't do it any different.

But at the end of the day marriage is simply a legal contract unless you're a religious person that sees marriage in a religious context.
