my sister has one. she got in in 2001 when derrick todd lee was patrolling br rapin women. that dog is territorial but is never off its leash. i don't care what kinda dog someone has. if its off its leash and it runs up growling I'm booting its face in the ground. anything over say 35 lbs or so. then I will sue the owner

I don't think all Pitt Bull owners are dirtbags. But I'm tired of their endless crusade to prove how sweet their dog is

I agree with this. Last year the guy who came service my AC saw my dogs then started telling me about how he has two pit bulls. The first thing he says after he said he had pit bulls was "people think they are bad dogs, but the two I have wouldn't hurt a fly. They fight with each other sometimes, but I can put my baby girl on the floor and they will come lay right next to her"

For some reason, he felt the need to defend the fact he had pit bulls. He looked like a stereotypical pit bull owner.. And that's cool. If someone wants to own a pit bull then god bless em, but don't be a fricking idiot. If a child is at the age when they are grabbing on things, if they go behind a dog like a pit bull, and grabs it, if that dog reacts.. the kid's life is at risk. They can be laid back as can be, but it takes one thing to set it off and that's it.

If a kid grabs on a toy poodle and it turns around and bites the kid, it might draw some blood.. They are not going to put a vice grip on a kid maul it.

The OT's relentless crusade against pit bulls is hilarious. I don't own a pit but if you can't control your dog, then maybe they're not the bitch between the two.

Trashy people are more likely to be abusive, not train or socialize their dog, or get them neutered

So you're saying neutering is trashy???
Ever vet you talk to will recommend it!

Edit: rereading, I think you're saying they don't get them neutered, which then I will retract my statement and agree with you. Just weird wording.

The problem is that pit bulls are powerful. So if something goes wrong, it can be really horrible

This is precisely the problem with pit bulls and the thing that pit owners can't grasp. But it's not just pit bulls, there are plenty of other dog breeds that have the same issue. Pit bulls just get most of the attention.

To me pit bulls are the same thing as a loaded gun. By itself they are perfectly safe, but in the hands of someone who is not responsible it is a problem.

You need to hit your siding with a mixture 1:4 bleach-to-water.

And them Rotts don't appear to be heppin' your lawn any.

My back yard is like a dog track and muddy as hell when it rains.

You are more than welcome to come pressure wash for me. The back door needs washed and painted as well. Not to mention I need some siding replaced where they chewed it.

Let me know when you will be by.

Couldn't you have posted your bewilderment in one of the other 700 anti pitbull threads?

Chicken has specifically requested that you not start a thread for every thought that enters your head.

I do not wish to be in charge of what other people can buy. Why in the blue hell do you consider it important enough to add the same thread to the plethora of them? Why don't you go start a cargo short thread next?

please elaborate...were they running loose? was your GT? did this happen in your yard, theirs, or a park, etc...? were leashes involved? lots of unknowns in this statement.

1st time the wife was waiting for the kids at the bus stop between a few houses. Pit mix gets of near by house and attacks my dog from the back with no warning. Yes my dog was on a leash

2nd time different pit mix, my extended families dog. Both dogs off leashes and at first the pit mix ran up and growled. We separated them and they were cool. About 30 minutes my dog was laying in the shade sleeping under a swing and the pit mix attacked her by biting her neck and doing the death shake

Yea dude you tell me who's dog is the problem.

Apparently pit bulls are so awesome they don't shed anymore. According to Pitt bull owners.
