Why do burlesque dancers always seem to be bigger/less in shape than actual strippers?

Is it just an easy way for them to act out their stripper dreams that they can’t really do at a strip club because they can’t get in shape or are too lazy to do it?
There’s a lot of discussion also about how burlesque dancers aren’t strippers or aren’t “dirty.”
“Burlesque is art”
“Body positivity”
“It doesn’t objectify women”
“It’s telling a story”
At the end of the day, they really are just big strippers that nobody would really pay in a strip club.

It’s very much like bartenders.
They didn’t get tons of attentions when younger so now they have a job where they are around guys drinking and get hit on because of alcohol so they have this insanely inflated ego and actually think they are more than a 5/10 on their best day.
If everyday you went to work and got hit on and told you look good, after a while, you would think that was actually the real truth

You could be right. But seeing as how you didn’t provide any photographic evidence whatsoever to back up your assertion, we’ll never know.
