Americans need all 3 utensils to eat different things. I can use a chopstick to eat everything.

Have you never seen an Asian eat soup? They put the bowl right up to their mouths and just use the chopstick to sort of create a current that flows the soup right into their mouths and they just slurp up any solid foods that happen to be in said soup. It's quite disgusting.

~31% of caucasians have this gene as well.
Why do so many Asians have a genetic disposition for absolute pitch?
Some claim that the gene is not as determinate as others believe. Asiatic languages are often based on phonetic variances between words. For example, the word "ba" in Mandarin can have four different meanings based solely on the tone in which it is spoken. This means that babies learning Mandarin are predisposed to notes that determine meaning thus giving them early practice in developing perfect pitch.
Some further argue that early immersion in high level music (such as Bach or Mozart or even John Coltrane) fosters the development of perfect pitch. Again, this is due to the baby's malleability to phonetic variances in order to learn a language. High level music exposes a baby to a wide range of tones, which help fine tune a baby's ability to register those tones as distinct notes.
What does this have to do with Asians and chop sticks? I don't know.

We like Kaminari by campus. First thing I do is put some pieces of their sweet&sour chicken IN a bowl of miso soup and set it aside(shite is hot as frick anyhow).
Then go get a hibachi plate. I'll Eat some sushi rolls while waiting on hibachi. Then after the hibachi, the chicken has soaked in the soup a good 10 min.
BOOM....
Asian Gumbo! I love it.

I can eat pretty much all foods with chopsticks and be fairly proficient. There really isn't thing of reasonable that I can pick up with chopsticks.
