Why do Americans care so much about their grass?

It does not affect the usability of the home, or driveway. If you live in a neighborhood there won’t be snakes and rats. If you live in the country, you’re already used to snakes and rats.

With roughly an hour more a week, on average we could be more efficient without trying to impress the neighbors.

FWIW, I love yard work. Just wondering why we even bother.

NB4, my wife (no pics) doesn’t do the lawn or do the grilling.

Yeah nothing says respect like grass edges grown to hell over the sidewalk. Gotta maintain that standard

Same reason you brush your teeth, comb your hair and wipe your arse.

It makes it easy for us to determine where the trashy people live in the neighborhood.

So if I keep my yard on a #2 and a nice edge on the driveway it will help alleviate future costs?

I brush to prevent gingivitis, decay. Wipe arse to prevent the red arse. And don’t have hair.

A beer, a cigar, and a lawnmower which gives you an hour of tranquility away from whiny kids and wife.

This is at least a logical answer to WHY.

I joked that if I killed my weeds I wouldn’t have much green to my yard. Well that came true and I’ve never been more upset with my lawn. I’m here for tips on growing back the dead spots.

Also, Bayer brand All in One Weed and Feed freaking destroys weeds and unwanted items in your lawn. Definitely recommend.
