Why do all new cars look the same?

Not all - obviously - but most crossover/SUVs basically look like a tooth.
My wife (pics on TheFappening) was in the market for a new car and didn’t want another Outback (what I pushed for), so we went searching.
She was initially interested in a CR-V, but the newer models are just totally generic and boring. We also checked out the Rav4, but I always thought they were gay.
She ended up with a new Santa Fe which isn’t awe inspiring, but it’s pretty big with a great ride and lots of tech.
How have all vehicle designers gotten so lazy?

Because you just bought a Kia like millions of other Karens. There is no motivation for creating anything unique. Crash/Safety standards also handicap designers.

Nothing wrong with Outbacks. If you live in a place with significant snowfall, they're damn near the best vehicle you can have.
I just wish they would bring back the Baja. I have an '03 stored that I'm thinking about putting some 35"s and truck nuts on.
