I am sure he is no stranger to gear but I think Rambo is a big fan of HGH as well. Didn't he get caught bringing in a bunch from overseas?

Why are these people so proud of their fricking man boobs? Anyway, Stallone looks almost as freakish as Carrot Top. Just fricking revolting.

Because he didn't do the work required for big traps. Very heavy deadlifts and shrugs.

Maybe he didn't work them in order to make his shoulders look broader. He is a small dude.

It was by design...he wanted the square shoulder look. Big traps look dumb and shoulders look too sloped! He wanted more athletic look than bodybuilder look. Boxers, soldiers, athletes...just get too weighed down, goofy and lose flexibility with big traps! Find a pic of Stallone and Lundgren in Rocky IV...they worked-out together for 6 months at Sly's home gym to get ready for that movie...Sly always looked better than body builders.

I don't either (since both do more damage than good) and my traps grow. Good form and moderate weight with lateral raises and body-weight dips are much better exercises.

They are much easier exercises, but not replacements at all

Do you even clean bro? Those will pack more meat on your traps than anything and adds crazy flexibility.

Friends of mine have big traps and shoulders and can barely, or can't, touch their hands together over their heads! Kills flexibility...hurts you badly in many, many sports!

To much cardio from running around during 'nam cutting off ears, and eating stuff that would make a billy goat puke.

There's a school of thought in bodybuilding that out of proportion traps are not aesthetic.

i was going to make the aesthetic argument myself. i think huge traps are possibly the main muscle group that catches our attention upon quick notice. if they get too big, you look inhuman. sly became huge, but never arnold-esque

and you see the results with this thread, with people not remember how big sly actually got (b/c of the lack of a trap-trigger)

Supposedly:

“I was 178 for Rocky, and 200 in Rocky II. For Rocky III I was 163. For my next film, Rocky IV, I went up to 173. I like this weight, because it is a fuller, rounder look, more in keeping with the old Roman athletes. I’m not quite as sinewy as I was in Rocky III, but I feel stronger.”
