Kinda off subject but..
First time my wife ever went to wash dishes at my house I told her the dishwasher didn't work 12 years later she still washes dishes standing by a dishwasher that worked back then and guessing it still does.

Water just isn’t smart enough to crawl into an upright cup in the dishwasher, scrub the inside, and crawl out.

I remember the good ol days, when 'putting a load in the dishwasher' meant something a little different.

And put all the dam forks together, and spoons, and knives. Makes it easier to just grab and put back in drawer without sorting.

I'm gonna side with the wimmenfolk on just putting them all in randomly. I used to put all the spoons in one part, forks in another, etc., but I noticed the spoons would, well, spoon in the wash and come out unwashed where they spooned.

Ok, this shite drives me up the fricking wall.

Yep. I said frick it with the cups...let that shite come out dirty and gritty. I use the same stainless 20 ounce tumbler every day and hand wash it.

Sometimes she bitches how the stuff comes out dirty and I just say that's why I rinse and scrub them before I put them in when I load it.

One of life’s great mysteries. My happy place is alone in the kitchen for 20 minutes every night doing the unload and reload of the dishwasher. Pour a drink, throw in a dip, and do it right. My only complaint is none of them dry everything properly. We’ve had three in this house and none of them dry. Plates are fine but cups and bottles never dry all the way.

load it right and it'll be clean.

there are sensors that measure "how dirty" the water is and it adjust accordingly.
Yeah, everything else in this thread is accurate, but I’ve never understood people’s desire to “wash” the dishes before loading the dishwasher.

Maybe they have the cheapest of cheap models and are using the cheap single stage detergent???

I never prewash anything and everything always comes out clean. Why would I want extra work for myself?

I dont believe any of you non prewashing fools.

Coffee, you have to rinse that out unless you telling me you are starting the dishwasher rt after having a cup.

Ever eat anything Italian? Red sauce needs to be rinsed off before.

Any pot or pan should be hand washed.

Protein shakes? Whatever you make them in needs to be rinsed out.

I make some overnight oats with yogurt in it. That absolutely has to be rinsed and scrubbed before.

Probably a bunch of other things I'm forgetting. Like most of the crap y'all feed your kids.

Sounds like these women have figured out how to not have to do the dishes.

They think they’re smart with that can’t load the dishwasher shite. All you have to do is throw their panties and bras into a load with your jeans and you will never have to do laundry again.

I’ll trade dishes for laundry everyday.

They can, but men are better at it.

Not worth arguing about.I just rearrange what she loaded in a coherent manner. My dishwasher instruction book says you don’t have to pre-rinse But I do it anyway,

What is this question? The silverware goes on the door, in its compartments. Everything gets rinsed first. Who are these troll women you all constantly bitch about?

Eggs and the starch rice leaves at the bottom of the pot you cook it in. My dishwasher can't get that off without some help.

I am right there with you. The entire dishwasher and detergent manufacturing sector preach this constantly. Yet, you have a 2 to 1 downvote ratio currently. It suggests that the baws of tOT don't know as much about using a dishwasher as they think they do.
