Money and woke virtue signaling. The NFL stopped being about football some time ago.
It has nothing to do with being woke.

It's purely about the money.

Don’t try to reason with that crowd.. Anything they disagree with or dont understand is “woke” or “gay”.. or both…. Just let them go back to jerking each other off on the PoliBoard .

NFL Football has had fans in South America for many years. Employees in our Buenas Aires office were big Cowboy fans and would sometimes tie business trips to Dallas to take in a game.

Because the stadium in Mumbai was booked.

You obviously know nothing about São Paulo.
It is actually a very nice city. Look up the hotel Fasano and the Rua Oscar Friere. It rivals the best that the United States has to offer.
You probably saw one photo of a favela in Rio and thought that applies to all of Brazil. Brazil is actually a very diverse country with over 200 million people and has industrial output that is probably better than anything in the US.
It would be like a foreigner seeing one pic of Skid Row in Los Angeles and saying it applies to all of the United States.

It was supposed to be in St. Paul, but got mixed up in translating
This is 2024, St Paul transitioned to São Paulo, and the NFL must support it.

There's a decent amount of Packer fans that live there

Packer

The assignment of the Packers to have to play in that huge shithole had zero to do with any fandom of the locals there.
A week ago 99.999% of the locals there had no idea what Green Bay Packer was.
