Back in my day, we just had a hole in the ground to piss/shite in.

Because you don’t have to be able to lift a man to prove you can make a great sandwich in the mess hall.

Shitty? Shitty is being a complete bitch 24x7 and running down everyone who has a day less time in service or time in grade as her because she has the stripes.
This bitch's mouth could have been on fire and I don't know one person who served with her who would have pissed in her moth to put it out.
I agree MOST of the time you have to have one another's back, not her though and for damn good reason.

1) you're way late in the argument because the Army has ACFT.
2) ACFT has only 3 categories based on MOS none of which differentiate between gender.
3) 88M has the same standard as Infantry and entry level Special Forces holy shite!!

Which I will yeild this. The Army has pulled back on 100% implementation of this because of the women failing. Infact, you can take the ACFT, fail, and it won't count against you this year because they're still making changes.

I’m of the opinion that it won’t be implemented because the failure rates amongst the National Guard and Reserves will be astronomical. Running, doing push-ups and sit-ups is easy and doesn’t require a gym or home set-up. Never Mind the fact that it would take a ridiculous amount of time to test for and given the limited amount of UTA’s (4-hour training blocks), there’s no way this is feasible for the Reserve component.

False.
The Army pulled back because gym closures make it nearly impossible to train on half the events.

You and I must have seated on different battalion calls then. Because mine occurred in Jan before the whole COVID closure started to happen.

Isn’t that right at the top end of weight for the Corps? Most of the recruits in my son’s class were a lot smaller than that.

Covid 19 is a good excuse, the fact is a vast majority of females are failing. My unit did this and 2 females passed the leg tuck. We will see if they make more changes but my money is standards will change for non combat mos.

PT standards have been different for females for many many years. It only became an issue when they started allowing split tails into front line infantry-type situations. It is in fact bullshite to have female Rangers and Infantry types. I have no problem in rational service where they can perform as well as men and contribute, but front line combat units (especially ones that require carrying heavy packs, weapons and ammo) is just bullshite.

For most of the military, it's not how BIG you are. It's how FAT you are that is the issue. A 6'4" dude at 210 that is swole as frick and can run and fight all day is way different than a 5'9" dude that is 210 that is a little jiggly and has high body fat.

To the extent the standards ever were different, you can bet it’s bc liberals. The same people that would have a transsexual compete against girls in sports will insist on lower standards for girls.

it doesnt take brawn to operate a drone.
they should have different standards for clerks, nurses, et cetera.
they wont all be navy seals.

I've always supported equal pay for equal work. If we all get paid the same, why must I perform MORE work on a PT test than my female counterpart? Seems sexist. We should all do the SAME amount of work, or pay should be prorated accordingly.
