Iona has a little over 3100 students. This isn’t high school where it’s a popularity contest, so the number of students who really want to be cheerleaders out of that 3100 probably isn’t much.
Plus, they need to be able to backflip and hold each other up and shite. I doubt every pretty girl can do that, or want to.

Fats normal now, you didn't get the memo, everyone's doing it. Her fat parents with money paid for their fat daughter to get on the squad. They need acceptance and it's very impowering to miss ?? piggy. 20 years from now not only will they be fat but they'll have a dick also.

Do they have an all female squad? Coed squads usually have a weight limit on the women for safety reasons. All female squads need larger women to be the base since there are no males.

Unless it’s a big time school like UNC or Kentucky, being a basketball cheerleader is not a ‘cool’ thing like being a college football cheerleader. Let’s not act like the Iona’s, Gonzaga’s, and Murray States are getting the ‘hot chicks’ in the first place. Most of these are either liberal arts schools or largely transient student bodies.

There are obese athletes...
I can't say I've ever seen an "obese" college cheerleader. I've seen a few that might have more than an A cup and not a completely flat washboard stomach, but they are usually holding up the other cheerleaders.

LSU has the Tiger Girls dance team for basketball. They wear cheer uniforms & look similar, but they’re different from the LSU cheerleaders. Not sure if it’s typical, but they had both the dance team & cheerleaders at the last game I attended. Uniforms were different colors.
