Pretty much everything the gov't is involved in or requires should bother you

Harder to fake, supposedly. You can argue that all you like, I'm not arguing the merits with you. Just the intent.

Limiting access is the first level of security.

Simply, everyone should be opposed to this -- it's Control-Grid stuff.

Real ID will allow you and participants of society to be tracked and tagged like sci-fi movies, where malevolent authorities can see every purchase and every move you make.

If your future purchases or travels arrangements are NOT "approved" by political or ideological standards (or coming "Social Score"), your ability to travel freely may be affected.

And then maybe your digital wallet currency in the very near future may be put on hold OR even "reduced" or zeroed-out.

This truly is a "WAKE UP, PEOPLE!" moment.

I’ve had one for years. Not sure why everyone is freaking out. It’s nothing different.

I've gone to the DMV twice and left after waiting for 2 hours. The second time I even scheduled an appointment but still left after 2 hours. DMV staff are awful.

If you live in LA you can also go to the 3rd party services with no wait.

I went to Fast Pass on Industriplex on a Mon afternoon and was the only person there. Done in 10 minutes.

I’ve had it in Georgia for about 5-6 years. It’s really not a big deal. So wild.

it was designed to stop terrorist like the ones who orchestrated 9/11. Must not have been too important if we waited20+ years.

And yet wouldn't have stopped anyone of them from getting on a plane if it was operational back then...

So who's it really for?

Passport works TSA recheck nope.

All travelers, including TSA PreCheck® enrollees, must have a REAL ID or other acceptable form of identification (e.g., passport) in order to fly once TSA is enforcing the REAL ID requirement at airports.

In NJ there are zero appointments available

Passport renewal takes 6 weeks

Why is it so inefficient

Not in Louisiana

They do not accept just passports to get a Real ID (I literally brought my passport to renew my DL and was told I needed a birth certificate).

You also need to bring your Social Security card and two utility bills, showing your name and address
