I hate not knowing what's wrong with and would rather catch something serious in the early stages.

They are scared to hear what's wrong. It isn't true until your Dr tells you. Denial is a powerful river.

I'm terrified of going to the doctor for a physical because my wiener seems to shrink even more than usual.

I don't hate going to a doctor at their own office. What I hate is if I have to go to the ER.

Also, it's probably bc most of the time, if you're seeing a doctor, something's wrong.

Find the cialis thread, get some of that off the internet, and take it before you go to the doctor. Problem solved

Because Obama screwed everyone's insurance up and it now costs out the arse to have anything done.

Because they are afraid to face their own mortality.

I hate going because I have been to many times in 5 years. Just got home from a pre op meeting scheduled for next Thursday. I have a damn 2 cm tumor smack in the middle of my L2 vertebrae. Seeing that I have had two previous battles with cancer, odds are we did not eradicate it all.....yet. Good thing is it is contained in that one vertebrae and is not outside the bone or in the spinal canal. This procedure should kill most if not all of it but probably have to radiate that vertebrae as a precaution.

Heck, I lived over 70 days at Emory last time when it was much worse. That's why I hate going to the doctor. Just conjures up bad feelings I want to put behind me.

Haven't got time for the pain.

At least until it gets too bad.

Visited my aunt and uncle a few weeks ago and we were laughing about how she hasn't seen a doctor in 30 years. 2 days later she was rushed to the hospital with a heart attack. Had a double bypass and in hospital for 2 weeks. Luckily she is recovering well.

1. MSRA and other staph infections
2. Unnecessary medications that make you sicker and/or crazier
3. Default mode of most drs is # 2) or surgery.
4. Our system isn't based on a free market, so it's beginning to feel like you're participating in Soviet-style bureaucracy when you enter the medical world.

eta:
5. seems like there are always BS items that aren't covered by "insurance."

Other than that, it's awesome!

Some people are scared of the bills
Even with insurance you can have a 5k or 10k deductible

uncle died of staph after just getting a routine knee surgery at the hospital

Just retired from Shell, few million in stock accumulated since he started with when he graduated Colombia. He had set himself up great, then he went to fix an old football injury.

dont know the reason. Diet was fine and I believe there was only 1 other relative on that side of the family with a heart issue.
