When discussing masks, people always forget about the contamination aspect. They just think about inhaling and exhaling. That's not the full picture. Masks in a hospital setting is one thing. Masks on John Q. Public at the store being improperly worn, unsanitized, and improperly removed, lack of bio-hazard disposal, etc... That's just going to spread it more. It's based on this that several European countries are not mandating masks. There's mounting evidence that they make the spread worse.
Let me ask you this. If public masks were working, where is the drop in cases?
I'm tired of public policy being made based on fear and ignorance alone.

I've had the same mask that sits in my cup holder. I can count on one hand the number of times I've worn it, usually stays in my back pocket until I'm asked to put it on.

How would anyone know who is reusing their mask? I've had the same since the middle of March that my mom made for her kids/grandkids. I haven't washed it yet, but I only use it in places that actually enforce the mask policy. I would guess I've worn it for a total of maybe 5-6 hours since all of this started

I think they end up making this much worse due to contamination. That's why I refuse. If I thought that they worked, I would decide myself to wear one. You aren't following the science. You are only following blind rules based on fear and ignorance.
