Because it's gross.
It's stupid.
It's counterproductive or at best useless.
It doesn't affect end game even if it works.

It's just a way for politicians and idiots to feel they're doing something.

It sets a scary precedent.

Hard to understand what this question means. So when something doesn't work we should allow the government to force it on us?

I think 2 is using a dirty one and touching it all day and touching other things is probably not good.

Are people bitching about others reusing masks? At a minimum level, masks are havens for bacteria and people are just breathing that in all day for no reason. But I guess legionnaires is better than Covid for some people.

I always assumed the masks were like underwear. Just flip it inside out and it's a brand new pair.

You honestly think you will get Legionnaires disease from a reused mask.

Think about every time you have seen some trend or fad take off in this country. The first iteration of the fad is often top notch, quality.

However, as soon as it proves to be a reliable earner, every Tom and hairy dick around has their version on the market. That's fine, it is part of Capitalism. But, the second and third waves of the fad product are almost always sub-par quality and are cheaply made knockoffs.

This is no different than what we are seeing now with masks. Companies who had never made a mask before are now making them. Businesses who have never sold a mask before are now selling them. Hell, we have enterprising individuals carving out a niche for "Designer Masks", made right in someone's basement with a sewing machine and a little creativity.

Remember that $2.00 fidget spinner you bought at a flea market a couple years ago that your kid broke before you got home?

ETA: We also have a growing list of hand sanitizers that are made with Methanol that can poison people. I'm willing to bet these hand sanitizers in question are new-to-market products from companies who just decided to jump in the booming disinfectant market to make a quick, cheap buck. No telling what some of these masks being pushed are really made of.

The kind of people who bitch about masks are the kind of bitchy people who like to bitch about all kinds of stuff that's not worth bitching about. Unless you're a total bitch; in that case, bitch away!

You wanna know what a legit gripe about masks is? And I've seen an example of it every day. When you decide to throw away your mask, pick a better fricking spot (like a garbage can) than balling it up and throwing it down on the ground in the parking lot. It's bad enough our state looks like shite with all the other litter on the ground, now you have those baby blue masks all over the place.

Trashy motherfricking people...
