I stand by my earlier comment in this thread but would like to add some anecdotes.
I know that my SO doesn't feel great about herself and it has an effect on our relationship and her overall well being. That being said, I make a personal effort every single day to make sure she knows how I feel about her and make her feel loved.
It's definitely an uphill battle but I think it's worth it. I'm just as insane as her most days, I just don't project it.

Theor lives are either way too easy or far too stressful.
The middle ground where they belong would be called outdated and traditional these days.
They also don’t have the support system women used to be able to count on.
Bottom line: they shouldn’t be expected to provide for themselves (but we now expect the opposite)
And
They SHOULD be expected to remain chaste except with their husbands, their whole lives

Because most average to above average women get tons of attention from puberty to around their mid-thirties. Once their looks start to fade they become bitter and mean-spirited.
