If you combine the student bodies of all those schools, how many children are left out?

I don't want my kid going to a failing school in north Baton Rouge.

Why can't EBR create more magnet schools? I mean considering on here I've heard of very long waiting lists to get into BRH! Which one would assume there are some bright kids out there just needing a school to attend.

Baton Rouge High is a fine choice. But it is the only one. You're screwed if they're not attending BRHS.

Only reason I would want to go to CHS is so I can mack on white girls. Im sure BRMHS has better students then CHS overall. There were 20 national merit, and 2 people with perfect act and SAT in my graduating class.

Why not improve all the schools? That way there would be no need for "magnet" schools to entice smart kids to stay in the public system.

That school went to shite once they allowed non magnet neighborhood thugs go to school there.
The last real all magnet year of SMHS was 1996....when I graduated.

Why not improve all the schools?
Without that, you waste your time and money.

My point is that BRMHS is probably a better educational experience then a private school here.

This should get you up to speed :
In Baton Rouge, Little to show for nation's longest desegregation case.

Still would rather go to a great academic school that has a ton of other factors in its favor like chs.

And they're awful because of the kind of students who goes to those schools and their parents. Until that changes, those schools are staying the same.
