Why are Baton Rouge parents so against public schools?

I know catholic high is a great school( yada yada), but some parents cant afford that. Why not prepare your kid for the real world and send them to baton rouge high or McKinley. Brmhs could look like the the United nations. Whites, Blacks, Asians, and even Hispanics. It has great academics, and more national merit than catholic. Just look at this video.

I'm a BRHS alum. Worked fine for me, about 1/4 of my senior class got National Merit scholarships which is waaaay above the average.

Because they want their kids to having a chance in life - excluding BRMHS.

Im a brhs alum too, and I failed out of LSU.
