the Arrest is immediately made available to the world,
Arrests are made IN public. If it is IN public then there is, nor should there be, any secrecy.

There is no claim of GUILT on the scene. It's just part of society.

People who file false accusations. I thought it was pretty self explanatory.

Ah ok. I’m fine with tearing down qualified immunity if that’s where you’re going with it. But I’m speaking specifically to people who make accusations or give false testimony.

Soft on crime?

I was in a room full of adults when the TV showed the cops dragging that dude out of the woods.. Arrested for killing the mother and daughter... I heard.. Fry him now.. Hang him.. Shot him now, etc.. I did not hear one person say... If he is proven guilty...

Nobody likes defense lawyers until YOU need one.

It’s in the public interest to know this stuff. That should be obvious.

bullshite. In the late 90's, I got into a verbal altercation at a bar. The other guy was kicked out & I was allowed to stay. When I was leaving, he jumped me in the parking lot with a slapjack. I wrestled it away from him & knocked him out with it.

Cops came & arrested me for assault with a deadly weapon. Luckily, the other guy admitted to what happened after he was taken to the hospital & charges were dropped & I was back at home in less than 24 hours.

If that happened today, my name & face would be plastered on the news(and social media), there woukd be a FB livestream of me in cuffs, & I'd lprobably lose my job even though I was a total victim.

That's a commentary on the media and social media
And it's very true and accurate and We need as the society to do something about it but I don't want secret arrest I don't want that stuff kept private a way from the public because that's empowering the police state

When a famous powerful person was able to keep it out of the news we complain
Think of all the little kids we could have saved had we known the truth about Michael Jackson

Corey Haim might still be alive

No I agree... people who make false allegations should be over-prosecuted and sued for the cost to the state... but false allegation cases are rare compared to judicial incompetence... the problem is who's qualified immunity should be dropped in the chain... if qualified immunity is tore down jury trails by your peers would cease... the state would have to assume all responsibility for any verdict... I'm fine with that also

So you think I should have had my life ruined for being attacked from behind with a weapon?

Idk what point you're making about OJ.

Of course not... how would your arrest be handled otherwise if not in the public though... the point pertaining to OJ is that he has the same claim as you or anyone not convicted of a crime they were arrested for

I agree with you. A angry child can accuse a adult of molestation and the adult gets arrested. Its plastered all over the News, internet, social media etc. days later it can discovered that it was all BS and they are released. If that is even released it is buried on page 10 of the paper or not covered at all. That person will forever be tainted because a seed has been planted in ppl's heads.

The level of coverage of the vindication should be required to match the level of coverage of the arrest.
