You have women that have been able to move through life primarily on their looks with very little substance behind it. Those look start to fade, and they really don't know how to handle any levels of rejection because they've never had to deal with it before.
Men learn how to handle rejection very early. This is why you don't see these reactions in men of a similar age.

No shite. You don’t really know the circumstances that led to the divorce. Maybe the wife was a serial cheater. Maybe the guy was. I wouldn’t expect either party to stay in that type of relationship. Lost my wife at 44. Started “dating” a few years later(now). I’ve found it EXTREMELY easy to find really pretty, very grounded, self supporting 40 year old divorced women. My experience has been opposite of what I read, but the ones I’ve dated have all been really cool and very impressive people and they’ve been all very attractive. Theres hope for you blondie-lots of great people out there.
