Those people are idiot sheep. Just like big city elitists who think if they visit the south it'll look like deliverance.

They don't know that they can avoid Mississippi.

Exactly. The notion that LA politicians are incompetent rather than corrupt is retarded.

Always the best part of our weekly California threads.

I love New Orleans. I think the government is absolutely abhorrent, but I can separate them since I don't live there. We visit there several times a year though.

Lousiana: where our biggest city can't even keep the fricking water bill free from corruption.

I don't hate California, however they're headed for a severe economic crisis

LA People made fun of Bernie Sanders and his socialist tendencies yet:

The current majority conservative LA State legislature just renewed one of the the most socialist programs in the country. Free college for everyone!

Well, what are you referring to re: “liberal cultural values”? Rather, what about liberal culture on a day to day level is so awful that people who have never been to the state feel is worth shouting about every time the state comes up?

Edit - I’m talking about people who hate the state so strongly that they’d never visit. Which are many people down here, I’d bet also including many who posted on page 1-2 of this thread and have now seen their way out.

I love San Diego, but I actually like San Fran and wine country weather better.

1/4 zip and chinos weather is my jam. I love it. I sweat enough and wear shorts here

I think Slow has picked a side for arguments sake and is just enjoying the debate.

Agreed. Obviously if you live in Cali it will affect you and your paycheck etc etc

But I go and visit in San Rafael 2-3 times a year, which is all of 15 miles from San Fran and I never notice any "liberal culture"

Yeah, I know Slow would never be the people I’m referring to. He’s not an idiot.

Yeah it is. I would live there or Napa valley if I moved over there.

My wife got offered a position at the French Laundry about a month ago that we really strongly considered.
