This posted on LSU's website shows 26.8% black incoming freshmen in 2024. Hispanic incoming is now at 12% vs the 6% less than a decade ago. According to this, only 50% incoming were white in 2024. Just 8 years earlier, it was 74% white kids.
We can’t even have LSU anymore. My love for the football team dipped due to the BLM nonsense and if the school is unrecognizable then I just won’t care anymore.

All I know is that traffic wise- LSU is over capacity.
Campus was goddamn parking lot yesterday afternoon.
It was like this the first 2 weeks of school when I was there from 2000-2010.

It will be mid 30s or higher this fall. From the pictures it looks like it could be over 50%.

Tate was in charge for a while. He didn’t change the FKing policy.
Yeah, this is likely because of the test-optional policy. Tate could have changed it but didn't.
Admissions standards are dropping across the nation, but I question whether LSU had to lower its standards. They will get students no matter what.

I went to LSU and have no idea what “welcome week” is.
Did I live under a rock? Is this new?

I work in a building basically on campus. It’s not just the first 2 weeks. I sit at a standstill on Burbank every single morning during school, and I don’t even go into the office at “rush hour” times.

When I went to college we just, you know...arrived at college.
The University didn't create some kind of Disney experience for incoming freshmen.
It's unbelievable how much we coddle kids now.

Tate’s pushes to make large increases in enrollment increased the negative effects of the crappy policies started by Alexander. Tate also started using the ACT’s superscore as the composite score in 2023 on top of keeping ACTs and SATs voluntary, but he kept on comparing the scoring to prior years.
Tate’s increase in the number of blacks was 6 times greater than Alexander’s increase during his policy push & focus from 2015 to 2020 and his increase in the number of hispanics was 2.5 times greater Alexander’s. Alexander was better at running off whites and lowering total enrollment numbers which helped him better self-promote his higher black enrollments.
Spring 2015 to Spring 2020
Increase of 387 blacks, and increase of 454 hispanics.
Whites 20,490 in Spring 2015 19,202 in Spring 2020 for a net loss of 1,288.
Spring 2021 to Spring 2025
Increase of 2,489 blacks, and an increase of 1,132 hispanics.
Whites 19,712 in spring 2021 19,762 in 2025 for net gain of 50.
In fall 2021 it was 18.8% black and fall of 2020 it was 16.8%. 30.3% of freshman class in 2021 was Pell eligible and was celebrated as an achievement by Tate and LSU. 2024 freshman class in fall was 26.8% black.

Does anyone as old as me remember staying on your feet all day moving from building to building trying to find class cards that attempted to meet your desired schedule, professors and subjects ? It was when you received a packet and you had to fill it for the semester with IBM computer cards for your selected classes and schedules ! The first priority was NO 7:30 AM classes !

Exactly. It seems like an unnecessary move for a flagship.

Increasing LSU’s black population by ~3k to 26.8% black by 2024, offsetting some white to get there.
As LA state as whole is 31% black per 2020 Census, may you pls be clear what is the thesis of you post?
Tate completed FKing’s start? Tate went crazy vs Fking. Other?
Too few
Too many
Goldilocks
Per race
Missing your bold point.

F King was the one that convinced the board and implemented the no test score policy. called it a holistic approach
