I like how old boy’s hat falls out the car window.

Aren’t postal vehicles pretty damn protected when it comes to right of way arguments?

BC after I watched it again, at first I thought it was a 4 way stop

Eh. Not enough info in the video. The dash cam needs to go back a few seconds to see which vehicle stopped first.

People will say the car is at fault because it was turning, but that’s not correct. Since both had the stop sign the vehicle that stopped first has the right of way (whether turning or going straight).

Now even if the car stopped first, there could still be some comparative negligence due to “last clear chance.”

Edit: Rewatched the video. I thought it was a four way stop, but I see the first white van coming at speed on the main road. Since the two stopped vehicles are on a cross street that has stop signs (and not four way stop) then it does change things. The stop signs must yield to the roadway. And then they must follow right of way rules - so left turning traffic has to yield to traffic going straight.

Car. You can see the guy was looking to the right the whole time he was turning left.

so the van going straight has the right of way over the car turning left.

Exactly.

Doesn't appear to be a 4 way stop judging by how fast that other van went through the intersection, so the van going straight has the right of way over the car turning left. So car is at fault

Car

Unless the car has a green arrow, the car has to yield to on coming traffic. Straight away vehicles are always gonna be in the right in this one

The car that went through the intersection before the wreck because it belonged to a Trump voter. Fine and imprison that man.

All of these crazy arse answers shows why car insurance rates in Louisiana are high af. People don't even know right of ways anymore.

They can still be liable for accidents. But it’s incredibly hard to file suit against them. They also have a very short window to file claims against government entities. Their claims process is also difficult to navigate.

If you are in an accident with a government vehicle, it’s always easier to just file with your own carrier and then let them handle it.

Thats only at a 4way stop......and if all 4 cars get to the stop sign at a 4way stop at the same time, the car to the right has the right of way
