Will I be able to see any of this at a distance from the city, say the riverfront or Crescent Park? Will any bigger plane come over the city?

absolutely the frick not. If I stumble my drunk arse upon you, we are hitting the strip clubs in the quarter and putting some stripper kids through college.

Then we'd go to the gay bars and kick some air force tranny arse

If I stand at the gate and scream "OT BAW right here!" repeatedly, will you come out and give me a VIP tour?

In previous years they've shown off some of the units at the base as well. Coast guard helos, marine air unit, and the reserve strike squadron there. I wouldn't rule out seeing any of them.

reserve strike squadron

A few years back at the Belle Chasse airshow, the River Rattlers went up and simulated a multi-directional attack on their own airfield. Those frickers came in fast, low, and loud and from pretty much every direction at once. It was overwhelming and way cooler than the Angels' show (though not as beautiful), but not nearly as cool as seeing an F-22 tell aerodynamics to frick off.

I remember in the 90s they had a Harrier do a demo. That was impressive as hell. I wonder if it's still in service?

Yep. They got the helos involved too. It was a simulated pilot rescue and they had another aggressor squadron with them playing OPFOR. This might've been before what you're talking about though.

If I buy you a bottle of whiskey, can I get a ride with Number 7?
