Yep... some major bullshite going on. Our MUD says our levees can hold 58' yet the forecast of 59' yields a voluntary evacuation? The county rep is saying we wont flood. Somebody is lying but I'm not hanging out to see who.

Yeah, that's a big pile of steaming dog crap!

We're going to be locked in by water from all directions for a while where I'm at in Katy.

I aint sleeping anytime soon

We were packing our go bags and mappng our wading route out the neighborhood a few hours ago. Thankfully, water started receding at 1230. Gonna try to get a few hours of sleep while the forecast is clear.

It's crazy to think I was driving to exchange a Redbox movie at 6 then by 10 was thinking we were going to have to wade out.

Good luck to everyone.

Water in my hood is still flowing South, just not very fast. Can't afford any more rain, that is for sure. A few Houses in Stablegate, which is just up from me, we're flooded before noon today. I can't imagine what it is like there now.

Sounds like you are north of little cypress creek. Different situation, I am just south. Hope all is well when the sun rises, and let me know if you are still taking names on that Brookshire lease. If my house doesn't flood, I may like to throw my name in there.

We have family in the Heights, Pearland, and League City. Trying to see if I have a route to any of them from pecan grove, to get away from the Brazos. Looks like all my routes flooded out over night.

After my 2.5 hours of sleep, first light looks promising. River in my street is just over the curb, about a foot or two down. Cautiously optimistic.

Are you in the voluntary or mandatory evacuation now?

Some of First Colony, Riverstone, Sienna Plantation are in a voluntary evacuation are. Brazos looks bad.

Looks like we have another blob of rain headed here in an hour or so. Doesn't look too bad. I'll take the wind over any more rain though.

I'm in Cypress also - Copperfield area. I don't think it is raining right now but the wind does seem to be very strong.

Tiger n Texas, the news mentioned something earlier about Ft Bend having a number or website that would help with an evacuation route. Don't know if you knew about it. I'll Google to see if I can find a link.
