Honest question, but how much does "VIP" bottle service usually run in Baton Rouge and do people really pay for that in BR nightclubs? This post was edited on 12/14 at 4:46 pm
Couldn't tell you. The deal on the soft opening was $200 and that got you two bottles of booze. I imagine that will go up as the club officially opens. I never understood the concept of bottle service anyway, but to each their own

Vaguely. Some reason I remember going to Poet's a lot of Thursday nights for some reason. I don't even think it was open that long as Poet's either.

I agree with you Walt! Deldago is a complete douche!
Now, maybe this is a good thing this bar opened because it will clean out all the other bars in town of all the derelicts!
Thanks Deldago!

They had some damn good food there. Big arse burritos and a salsa bar. Didn't they go out of business because they were serving minors?

I wasn't 21 at the time they were open and they never carded me.

I mean I get it in larger cities at huge night clubs. In Baton Rouge its insanely fricking stupid and mainly for douchebag thousandaires to upload

I drink Basil Hayden, myself. It is my bourbon of choice. I keep at least one fifth in my living room setup at all times.
Depending upon where you get it, Basil runs between $30-$40 per fifth. I think the most I've ever paid was about $37.
Now can I AFFORD to pay $250 for a fifth of Basil at a club? Sure, maybe on a good week, a special occasion. But if I can get it for $37, why would I?

I did the same thing. Left it on my laptop on accident. Had to explain to my wife when she came home why I was looking at this jerkoffs "photography" on my day off

Bingo. It makes no sense at all.

Same can be said for buying any drink at a bar. The bottle is just on a larger scale

I understand the economics, but the scale matters. A normal night at a bar I might spend somewhere in the $40-$60 range. Buying a bottle is likes going out 5 times. And for what? So you can sit on a different couch than everyone else?

As a generous estimate, I can get about a dozen drinks out of a bottle of Basil Hayden. At an inflated bar rate of about 8 bucks per two fingers on the rocks that works out to $96.
1913 wants $250 for a fifth of Basil. That works out to just under $21 per pop. Baton Rouge won't support that for very long, I can promise you.

Youre telling me something we all know. Every time a club like this opens up there is a thread on here about it or a thread asking why we dont have a club like this during the times we dont have it, im in here saying BR will not be able to keep it alive. No EDM club will survive in BR for the foreseeable future. We just dont have the demographic for it.

When ordering a bottle, you are paying the extra price for a number of things.
-The liquor itself
-The mixers which are thrown in (minus red bull after a certain amount, usually)
-Your own table and area
-Your own waitress and whatever extra she can provide.
Im speaking on bottle service in general, not BR specifically. Bottle service is expensive, but at many places it is not that bad of a deal for a group of people.

I understand how bottle service works. But if anything, it sounds like we're agreeing that it's more of a New York, LA, Las Vegas, Miami kind of thing. Baton Rouge? Not so much.
In any event, I've met some of the douchers involved in running this place. Trust me when I say that you feel the need for a shower after interacting with them. I give this place a year at the outside. They'll make their quick bank & shut the doors, leaving a shite ton of creditors holding the bag. I'm pretty sure even they know that's how it's gonna play out.

If you can't go out at Club 1913, where can you go?
