Whole home generator company recommendation?

We bought a Kohler generator from Steadfast, and we were very pleased with the installation.

I don’t know who you will use but go ahead and spend the extra and get a Kohler. The boots on the ground guys that were wiring mine in and doing the setup told me you will never regret getting the Kohler over Generac as they are a lot more heavy duty built and quieter.

Stay away from A-Lectric in Shreveport. Terrible experience.

We had a 24KW Generac installed about 4 years ago. Nothing but good things to say so far.

Optimize if your in BR for instillation and maintenance.

I got four quotes and not only were they the cheapest, but they took care of all the permits, CO2 detectors, and worked with Entergy on my gas meter when others wanted me to pay for those things. Permit guy came out and said he could tell Optimize did the work because they do the best job. They come out annually to do maintenance, and their customer service has been very responsive.

I don’t usually don’t go out of my way to recommend companies, but they have been great. 5 stars, would recommend.

Any generator will be expensive.

But it is absolutely a wonderful thing to have. We don’t even know when the power goes out in the neighborhood, it automatically switches to the generator and does so quickly.

Nothing wrong with the unit, but as competition choices get smaller, look at.

Ability to get annual service on what you install

Would get another Briggs & Stratton, but now it is pretty much impossible to get the needed annual service. In this market will have to eventually switch to Generac in this market.
