I like how the first case in you link states "MDs think MAY be linked.."

They are definitely linked and there have been many, many cases of adverse effects. I personally know 3 families who have been severely affected by negative reactions to vaccinations.

A few people MAY have been harmed by a vaccine, but never mind the billions of people who ARE saved by their use.

I'm not full on anti-vax but I do think the amount of vaccines and number of doses per vaccine and the push by Drs and pharm to shove everybody into a one size fits all program is irresponsible and dangerous.

I do shop at wholefoods and I think overall it's better quality.

I'm not a die-hard organic eater, but I don't know how someone can look at the produce in Albertson's and not see that it's crap compared to the produce in Whole Foods. And Whole Food's meat products are the best in the city with the possible exception of Maxwell's

Also, when you get bread products from Whole Food's, they mold in about 7-10 days - which I take as a good sign.

Wow. I just had to give my two sense on these topics. I'm answering on my phone so there may be mistakes.

First antivaxxers. These people simply put are morons of the highest magnitude. Some kid gets a vaccine and then they die the next day in a car accident and these idiot parents blame the car accident on the vaccine. Ok maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but only a bit. Association does not equal causation. So for the idiot who linked some moronic site here blaming vaccines, please stop breathing. You are not only am idiot but promoting idiotic behavior.

Homeopathy? It's water. It has been proven to not help anything but perhaps cure thirst if you drink enough of it. But by the same token it is unlikely to harm you unless you aspirate it, get a pneumonia, and die from that. The whole idea of homeopathy is such total crap that anyone who thinks this actually works likely believes in magic potions and believes horoscopes are actually useful at predicting the future.

Let me briefly touch on something not mentioned here. Anti GMO. These people are straight idiots.

Organic? Not worth the money and, depending on how far they take it, potentially harmful. Sometimes these people take things too far and are anti pasteurization of milk which is just moronic.

So, in short...
Antivaxxers are dangerous to themselves and others.
Homeopathy is just water.
Organic food frankly is usually just a ploy to charge middle class and wealthy people more for food.

Anti-vax is pure quackery. Vaccines have done wondrous things since the 50s.
The problem withe quacks is that they threaten public health.

Big brand organic is all bullshite. If you want to eat "clean" and care, establish a relationship with a local farmer, go to the farm, see how things are done, and support local. That is what I do.

I am all about food quality, but that is ridiculous

I abide by an 80/20 principle. I control the flow at home, but relax things when eating out or with friends.

Calandro's also has very good meat, in particular their beef. Their steaks and veal are awesome. Whole Foods is also not the place to go for shrimp. They sell shrimp imported from key west for like $13 or $14 pound. In Louisiana that is pretty ridiculous. Tony's or Rouses is better for shrimp. Whole Foods probably has a wider selection, but given that this is Louisiana you can often times find fresh seafood for better prices elsewhere. Their selection in general is very good quality though.

Yeah because carcinogen pesticides and unwanted hormones/antibiotics are overated.

Agree with you on GMO's and vax. Don't see a problem with organic and the prices are coming down anyway. Bought a bag of carrots the other day for $.30 more than non-organic. Real carrots not carrot shavings, aka "baby carrots"

Here is a suggestion how to manage your friend

Remind them that they have the healthy option of intermittently fasting throughout the meal. You can remind them that we evolved to handle food scarcity well. Remind them of the benefits of fasting. Proceed to tell them to sit back (shut the frick up), not eat a thing, and enhance the experience by practicing meditative breathing for the duration of the meal. They will get a nice detox, anti-inflammatory, mitochondrial healing experience until their next feeding interval.

I have equal disdain for the fringe participates in cross-fit, endurance training, etc

It is the same "disease". Good principles being bastardized to an extreme leading to an asymmetric lifestyle...

It is all about balance with priorities...

A few years ago I was in a relationship with a SJW (couldn't stand her politics, but unbelievable BJs). We met a couple of her snowflake friends at an upscale restaurant - they didn't bother checking whether the food was organic, rather shined a green laser on all the food (including my sweet tea). This took all the toxins out of the food and rendered it as good as organic. They seemed to enjoy the meal (particularly since I was paying for it.)

Do you really, truly believe vaccines are just some evil construct that money hungry doctors are pushing into their patients for a paycheck? Read the history of vaccines, read an actual scientific article/review etc. to get an informed opinion on this. Anti-vaccination is plain dangerous.
