Great guy. Huge loss. Very experienced in both fixed wing and rotary.

Not surprising. Liberals also celebrated Hulk Hogan’s death. They’re all pieces of shite.

I only have a few progressive acquaintances left. No doubt in my mind they celebrate when a republican is killed. They make it known how happy they are on social media.

I'm willing to guess that the mom and son didn't want dad to fly them into the side of a house. I don't trust those small planes and the maintenance / inspections. Someone that knows about small planes, help convince me otherwise. I'm definitely not ever getting on a single engine plane unless it can land on water.

One of my biggest fears is some amateur pilot jabroni crashing his plane into my house.

I almost bought this house in Birmingham until I saw that it aligns with the smaller runway at their airport. No thanks.

This woman posted a TikTok of her toddler riding his toy car around his dad's plane. The whole family died in a plane crash a few days later, shortly after takeoff.

Careless operator who wasn't permitted yet to be flying solo, much less with people in it and at night in a storm

Ah yeah, I didn’t know that part. That’s very sad.

My best friend was an excellent pilot, actually even an instructor for those gyro-planes.

Anyways. He could repair them, build them even. He had his own hangers in 2 small airports on outskirts of Atl.

I was supposed to be with him this one night as he was doing “touch and goes” on this new-used CESSNA he bought with this Investor where they were going to start refurbishing planes and selling to buyers in Colombia.

I was running late and had a meeting that was delayed in NOLA & I showed up too late to fly that night in april several years ago.

The right engine went down and he crashed into the General Mills cereal plant N. of Atl & RIP.

True story of “could have been me”, but after the fact, I’ve learned to stay away from Cessna’s at the very least when it comes to small aircraft.many folks have said it’s the flip of a coin with a bunch of those planes.

Not sure what this guy was flying? But why put the wife and kid up there? Unless you’re in one of the most safe planes ever created?

Anyways, sad story.

It keeps the comments from popping to the top of the page FYI. Unlike here where votes do nothing

Neat trend developing among the insane left. Keep going, guys, it’s doing wonders for you.

You know the wife was a Hollingsworth from Ragley? Closer to your age but no doubt you at least know her mom.

With the plane registered to a company called Sleepy Time, this guy was more than likely an anesthesiologist or CRNA. There’s no shortage of folks in the anesthesia business that also fly as a hobby.

Curious if it will be like the helicopter accident in Lake Charles a while back

That's the first thing I thought of. We've never seen a final report on what went wrong with that helicopter other than we know he wasn't licensed to fly his family. That one still haunts me. His ego got the best of him.

The accident happened last November and it usually takes about a year for the final to be released. The prelim stated no cause at that time.
