Honestly I think the SEAL wins because they are trained to kill.
A. Yeah, with a gun. Not with their hands.

B. They have 50 hours of MMA training. That's what they are taught as far as hand to hand goes. They are basically shown a few moves that may help in a fight if for some insane reason they end up fist fighting in the middle of a war to survive.

Do you know what they learn in 50 hours of training? Basically nothing that they'll remember.

It's the equivalent of going to a martial arts class for an hour and a half, 3 days a week for 2.5 months. You know what you are after that amount of time? You're still a fricking beginning white belt.

So you’re saying SEALs and basically every other elite combat group that is in the US military are a bunch of bitches without their weapons?

That’s basically how you laid it out.

No. They're not bitches. They just have very little training in fist fighting. They'd kick the average Joe's arse just from being in great shape and being mentally tough and having a warrior mindset. But they aren't relying on their 50 hours of combatives training if they get in a fist fight.

But we're not talking about them fighting some random douche in a bar. We're talking about going up against a professional fighter. These are black belts who have trained to snap your limbs and choke you unconscious for 15 years and thousands and thousands of hours.

The SEAL will not be fist fighting.

eta Look up the average age of a SEAL.

What do you think they’ve been doing their whole lives prior to training to be a SEAL? Picking bar fights? They prob already have extensive hand to hand combat training and were prob recruited to go to SEAL training.

Not fighting the best fighters in the world professionally.

They most likely don't have extensive hand to hand combat training. Even IF a particular SEAL did, do you think he has more training than a professional fighter whose job is training specifically in hand to hand combat every single day for hours a day for more than a decade?

True, a SEAL will probably have a knife and use it in an actual hand to hand situation. The only SEALs that would actually stand a snowballs chance without weapons against a legit MMA guy are the ones who train after hours with guys like Jocco on the West coast. However Team guys worry way more about how to properly clear a room or if their chute will open on a jump then worrying about beating up a MMA guy in a streetfight.

Reread the OP

Street fight doesn’t necessarily mean putting up your dukes.

eta By not fist fighting I mean they aren’t going to be just punching each other. It’s a no holds bar fight to the death without weapons. My money is on the SEAL since his sole purpose on this planet is to kill and not be killed.

The OP says a street fight with no weapons.

Tell me, what do you think the SEAL is going to do if not use his fists? Is he going to out-grapple the BJJ black belt?

Probably so since he doesn’t have to worry about weight classes and how much gel he has in his hair.

Oh fricking bullshite, a seal would smoke a mma guy.

In a shootout or if provided with a weapon but mma fighters train specifically for hand to hand fights. Seals are trained in a wide variety of things but they don't solely focus on hand to hand. As another poster said, a veteran mma fighter has thousands of hours of training and experience. A seal has no where near that amount specifically for hand to hand. The seal is a deadlier person overall but in hand to hand, the mama fighter wins.

You answered the question in your topic. Street FIGHT, pro FIGHTER.

For a comparison, I like to bass fish when Im not working, I've bass fished for years for recreation. Who would win in a bass fishing tournament, me or Kevin Van Dam?

Seal because of training to fight to the death. Pro fighters are conditioned to fight to a set of rules

They may be "conditioned not to kill but that doesn't mean they incapable of it.
