I don't think you're understanding the stupid question you're being asked. The stupid question is asking you who wins if you strip a SEAL of everything that makes him lethal as a SEAL except the hand-to-hand portion of his training and then make him fight an MMA fighter who can use all of his training and skill.
The SEAL doesn't get to use a knife, or a gun, or squad tactics.

How about Brandon Wolff? He was a Navy SEAL and then fought in MMA. He has a career record of 7-6. He had 2 fights in the UFC, and lost the first one in 1 minute and 49 seconds by getting knocked out with knees to the face and the second fight in 2 minutes and 24 seconds due to being choked out.
Why didn't he light the fight world on fire with his fighting skills? And Wolff has had a hell of a lot more fight training than the average SEAL.

There are shite tons of rules being talked about in this thread. Silly ones, too. A "street fight" is a random encounter, more or less, between these individuals. Now, I will say that, under most circumstances, the person most ready to be in a street fight when that fight begins is most likely going to win it. And, like I said, the SEAL is going to be carrying a knife just as part of who he is.
SO, if he's ready when the fight begins, Mr. MMA is going to have to deal with a knife. If he's ready for that, the advantage swings back to him.
But if the guys on the MMA side of this debate are going to force it into a "The SEAL can't beat an MMA guy with MMA rules" - well, then, discussion over.
