The navy seal just has to believe in himself!!!!

What a joke thread, some of you guys are so delusional. Next you're gonna tell me that your krav Maga instructer would do well in the ufc. It must be a cute existence having such a loose grasp of reality.

Seals fight dirty. They'd fricking disjoint their knee and be on their way.

onestly I think the SEAL wins because they are trained to kill.

Do you think MMA fighter‘s don’t know how to kill? If it was allowed and encouraged there could easily be deaths in the majority of MMa fights. In fact in hand to hand combat, MMA fighters are definitely more equipped to deliver lethal chokeholds and lethal blows. No tap outs or referee stops during chokeholds. No referee stops when someone is on the ground unconscious. Come on man.

They learn how to render their opponent unconscious or cripple them. The ref stops it from happening most times. Once a person is unconscious or disabled and unable to defend themselves, it's a very short leap to killing that person. For the frogman to win, one must assume that the MMA fighter shows mercy and it backfires.

Out of curiosity, how do you see the fight playing out?

Considering the Navy SEAL is grossly outmatched in hand to hand combat, I'm having trouble seeing how the SEAL just rolls through a pro MMA fighter.

Been training in BJJ for a long time. It's almost like we are auto-programmed now to tap at the moment we are caught in a sub. It's almost like there is no fight to get out any more. We do this to prevent injuring students and each other so we can train another day but this is pretty much a 180 from what would go down on the street and what would honestly happen in a cage. It's also a 180 from what our founder Helio Gracie originally taught and passed on. It's a fine line.

I'd take a SEAL over Steph Curry in a 3 pt. contest.

I'm not reading this whole thread but do some people seriously think there are seals that could fight in the UFC tomorrow and be champs? Bc if so, I'm sure they'd love the millions of dollars that come with it. I wonder what's holding them back?

And before you tell me a street fight is different, tell me how. If there are no weapons and no friends to jump in, what's the difference? What additional moves not permitted in MMA is the seal so well trained in that a dude who has thousands of hours of training in fighting couldn't handle?

Apparently SEALs practice eye pokes 10 hours / day.
