Dusty Rhodes was not gold dust. That would be Dustin Rhodes, his son.

Considering that it is all made up I would say the "screenwriter/coin flipper" that decided who was going to win that day was the baddest.

Freebirds, but the OG ones -- not Garvin and Hayes.

Without at doubt Bam Bam Gordy. Also, Buddy Roberts. The WCCW days > anything they did for Ted Turner.

They weren't together too long but nobody touched them while they were together in Mid-South.

Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody
Wrestled a lot in Japan-badass.

From the standpoint of TV viewers and people at live shows no one can touch the NWO (well maybe DX but no one in your list)

Now from a wrestling standpoint out of those I guess Freebirds.

Out of that list, Freebirds. I would go with NWO because that was such a great storyline but, in the end, that's all it was - a storyline.

Where are the Four Horsemen????

Stagga Lee

I saw Stagger Lee fight Bob Roop or maybe Ted Dibiase in a match in the Superdome. If Bob/Ted could prove that Stagger Lee was JYD, JYD would have to leave MidSouth forever. During the match, a foreign object was produced and Stagger Lee was knocked out and his mask was taken off. Luckily, the referee was also knocked out cold in the mayhem and didn't regain consciousness until after Stagger Lee came to, put his mask back on, and pinned the opponent. Who was the man in the mask? I'll take that knowledge to the grave.

Not even close. nWo.

Because he's such an icon as a baby face, Hulk Hogan doesn't get the credit he deserves for being one of the greatest heels of all time during those days. Not to mention Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Macho Man, and Scott Steiner.

Steiner Brothers were bad asses who could wrestle great matches. And their legit amateur background meant they could kick your arse IRL as well.
