They're very conveniently located on that island, why not just set the whole island ablaze?

Well if you were marooned on the island there is at least plenty of food.

This island was featured on the show VICE. You can watch it on youtube if you search for it.

Yeah they go change the lighthouse light and then camp on the island for the night. They saw a ton of snakes but wondered how many they didn't see.

I would attempt to swim the 90 or so miles to the mainland before setting foot on that island.

The island next to mine has the highest concentration of rattlesnakes (eastern Diamondbacks) in the world and its a wilderness retreat for rich muthas.

As for what the snakes eat and how the island can sustain them, birds. Birds should be able to fly to the island and even if they didn't, they're not going to be whipped out.

Also, I give the guy who made the video credit for trying but it was not a good video. He kept kinda altering the information to make things seem even more bad arse. Also, saying there's a snake every 3 feet when the scientist says every square meter really made me think "really."

Feed the snakes bread so they can breed?

Before automated lighthouses, some poor bastard had to live there and keep that thing running.

How does the island maintain enough prey for all of those snakes to survive?

Dumbass birds.
