I just send him to school anyway. I like to bolster the immune systems of the other kids in his class.

Me and the wife usually split the day in half.

Since she doesn't go to to work till 10 am, I'll work till noon, then take the evening off, which means I only have to take off 3 hours and she only has to take off 2 hours.

Works out pretty well.

Or sometimes, like last week, I'll just work from home.

Mostly my wife because she has more PTO than I do, but I will stay and work from home in the event she has something going on at work that she cannot get out of. If it is going to be a long term thing like chicken pox or something along those lines, then usually one of the grandparents come and help out.

Neither.

Kid is going to stay in bed all day.

Who needs to watch that?

We usually take turns. Whoever is more feasible. Honestly I have a LOT of PTO so I do whenever I can. But you get labeled pretty quick in a hospital setting for being unreliable. Especially adding your own sick days. I usually have 1-3 a year.

My husband and I take turns, and my MIL helps out as well. Just don't send him over there if he's contagious.
