Freaking Drinking with Lincoln.. oh the days... but back then the drinking age was 18, so there were some troublemakers. One of the bouncers is in Angola on a murder charge...unrelated to his work there of course.

Brah. Why did your comments in my thread get whacked and some of mine. I'm confused.

Beat the clock. I once drank 9 rum and cokes in the first hour at 50 cents a pop. Was throwing up in the bar by 10, got kicked out and sat by my car right outside and threw up some more. Good times. Drinking age was 18 back then.

We probably know each other then.

I remember seeing Shaq holding a 12 oz Coors Light like it was a little pony in his hand. Thing was literally inside his grip. I remember, because he was just a poor college student at the time - if you ignored the the tricked out Suburban he pulled up in. I did.

Went and played pool with some friends. Owner sitting at the corner of the bar. No one came in the whole night. It was awkward.

The Bengal was fun too. Drinkin with Lincoln on Thursdays. $5 all you can drink. They did have an S&M video bar thing that was nasty. Dudes on the patio banging on metal bathtubs slinging their pierced dicks everywhere. One guy even got up on the wall doing it at the passing cars. Only problem with that us the police station across the street. Cops came and arrested their asses.

You remembering this wrong. Drinking with Lincoln was TA's by the Chimes. The S&M shite was at the gay bar down the street from the Bengal who had Tuesday night event for those who dared. Can't remember the name though. POPO office was between the Bengal and club ball licker or whatever it was called - started with an X.

Nah. Im right. The gay bar your thinking of was Traditions, then Splash. The Bengal was the building across the street from the police station. Last I saw, its a parts store now.

It was called Xanthus before it was any of that. 1987-ish. Same side of the road as The Bengal. Prior to that, it was Nieman's or something similar. There might have been other sketchy bars in the area

One of the few times I ever went to a bar in BR. Ended up in a fight with some ginger frat guy. Me and the guy had words and apparently some guy came up behind me and my friend dropped him. turned into a melee. I hit the ground in the bar and next time I go t to my feet I was outside and the douche owner had me by the shirt

Used to tear it up there from senior in HS to FR at LSU as had a good friend that bounced there and would go up to party on the weekends senior year HS and met a few of the other bouncers and bartenders.

It got old after that and only went here and there and without any real crazy shite, at least that I can recall right now.

Actually I vaguely remember perhaps a sloppy night there with a hot crazy chick after undergrad, but I can't be certain it was there.

I remember the line would be backed up to where rotollos was, now Mike's. My roommates stole the under 21 stamp so we never had to wait in line.
