Maybe we need to make no-knock warrants much, much harder to come by
As in, only for terrorism threats, saving kidnapped babies,

there is a somewhat local story where some cops just got the wrong address (in the country no less) and fricking murdered a family's dog

Cops are way ahead in wrongful/mistaken shootings. The citizen is much more likely to wind up on the short end of police encounters.

They’ve had to basically go back on everything Goines investigated because they found this was far from the first time he had falsified a bunch of info in a warrant. He should rot for the rest of his life in prison

They fired on armed people breaking into their house, like millions of other homeowners would do.
Police do not protect you in your home. They show up later and write reports, unless they are the intruder as in his case.

There’s more outrage in Texas for some serial rapist being put to death than this botched raid case
