Mitch Hedburg and Steven Wright are both great one-liners
Tom Papa, Gaffigan and Seinfeld all do great clean comedy
Maria Bamford is probably the only female comedian I can listen to
I like the story telling from Hannibal Burress, John Mulaney, and Mike Birbiglia
Louis CK is one of those comics that I just never was a big fan of. George Carlin is similar. Some stuff is funny, some isn't for me. Lewis Black is another. All different styles, and I like some of their stuff, but I can do without it mostly.

I always put her show on when I feel like I need my ears to bleed. Samantha Bee, Natasha Leggero, Whitney Cummings, Jeanene Garofalo all have such whiny annoying voices

Nobody likes Rodney Carrington? He's the only one I haven't seen listed

One of my faves: Harris Wittels. Left too soon, but I believe he would have been huge. His career was just taking off when he died at 30. He's one of my favorites to listen and re-listen to on podcasts. He wrote for Parks and Rec, Eastbound and Down, and season 1 of Master of None (he was also Harris, one of the animal control guys, on Parks and Rec) Also coined the term Humblebrag and was the drummer for the comedy band Don't Stop or We'll Die with Paul Rust and Michael Cassidy. For anyone interested, listen to his appearances on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast, or read his tweets. Just a shame.

Looks like there are only a few of us get Norm.
They recently took a poll of a 100 comedians currently touring who they thought was the funniest comedian today. Something like 65 said Norm McDonald.
Norm was one of the 100 they asked and he said Super Dave Osborne.
Norm is on the same level as Kaufman.
Dave Chapelle, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock are all low IQ humor. That type of stuff is crazy funny if you're a sophomore in high school.

Heroin overdose. I just read his sister's book about his struggle and their family's experience with it. It was a very well written book. It's a shame. He toured with and opened for some of the comedians listed in this thread. His standup was a little awkward, but he was killer in the podcast setting, and he was known for writing the funniest lines in the writers' rooms.

Right now I'm listening to bob Marley over and over, he has some good stuff.
Jim brewer is my favorite
Favorite joke is the one that John Mulany does about the tom jones "what's new pussycat" song where he plays it on the jukebox 15 times in a row.

5 pages and no mention of Michael McIntyre, the highest paid comedian in the world in 2012. YouTube his bit about those with children vs those who don’t have children. You’ll cry from laughing so hard.

That’s some of his older stuff and he was so polished even then.
His entire bit on Bill Clinton is amazing. The way he floats between trying to tell the story but also describing the plot of The Fugitive is absolutely perfect.

I think the best medium in which to experience his work is in his appearances on Comedy Bang! Bang!
If you google him, you'll see how beloved he was by Comedy greats.
