who is/was your favorite family member ?

My Grandmother on my Moms side was perhaps the smartest and funniest person I ever knew. Was an executive assistant for the Owner of a large Oil Field service firm, and the dude basically liked to drink and play golf and allowed my Grandmother to run the day to day.

She was an Oiler season ticket holder from their inagural season ticket holder and started taking me when i was old enough. I went to almost every game for over 20 years.

She has this sharp dry wit and always made me laugh. I adored her and as the only Grandson living in-town out of 9 grandkids, When she was diagnosed with cancer she was given less than a year, she found a clinic in Mexico and went there to get Laratril treatments,, even smuggled the drug across the border ( make your jokes)


I was her pride and joy and taught me how to treat a lady. At the end I would sit with her at family gatherings and make fun of everyone. I loved making her laugh.
In many ways she is still my ideal.
