Actually, this is the thing. No one assumes anything about you. You displayed a clear pattern of behavior and character for years here. People’s perception of you is developed based on your own words and actions. You being so fricking self absorbed and oblivious to your own actions is no one else’s fault. I had a first grade teacher (not mine, but one of three at my elementary school) tell me that if I vomited, I would have to eat it. That’s stuck with me for 30 years. I can’t say that I hate her, but I just often wonder why someone with that kind of outlook on life was involved in elementary education. Not good at anything else, I suppose. I ran into her daughter (my age) at a bar about ten years ago and drunkenly told her that I thought her mom was a bit of a bitch. She agreed.

I don’t know if I “hate” anyone because that type of anger is so tiring. There are plenty of people I don’t particularly like, but I don’t give them much thought.
