I had one quarter of my family tree that didn't like me, idk why. Was that way since I was a kid. Always had bad things to say to me anytime I approached them.
One of my dad's brothers was a life long marine sergeant. Second wave at Iwo Jima, was covering the men that raised the flag. Went to Korea and fought nearly the entire war. In vietnam he killed so many enemy he stopped counting (per one of his men that later married my sister). His sisters told me he was born mean. Mean all his life till the last 2 years.
Anyways, when I was 18 my dad died and walking to his casket I passed each of the 4 family groups. The last group the ones were the group that didn't like me. Obviously I didn't look like I was in a good mood. I walked by them and they all looked down and stepped back. I'm thinking, "finally some respect." When I got to the casket I noticed my Uncle was right behind me with a God awful look on his face. He looked like he was going to kill everyone in the room, and he probably could have. He looked at dad and said, "If those SOBs would have said one word to you, I was going to kill them." I read his look correctly.

A co-worker. She wasn’t just crazy, she was angry crazy. Like she’d stand up in the office and yell, “You’re all a bunch of f***ing idiots!” And she wasn’t kidding around. She had it in for everyone.
. I guess the bosses were scared of her because she was still there for years after I got out of there.
They finally fired her. Last I heard, she was bouncing from job to job.

I was at a Super Bowl party in 99 and most of the people got bored and moved to the dining room table to play cards. Me and one other guy (history of violence) were left sitting in the living room. He gets a page and looks at me: "I'm heading to town for a second. You need beer or anything?" He left and murdered a guy at a gas station who was seeing his ex.

I knew Bobby, but I was older than him. He swung a pool stick at me at the bowling ally and it smashed against the wall when I ducked. He ran off. But like I said I was a lot bigger and older than him. He was mean, just plain mean. He was actually the first person I thought of. He ventured over to your neck of the woods?
I was. Dad was a good man and everyones "best friend". Charismatic. I'm just the opposite, but look like him, but it looked good on him.

My sister-in-law. She’s from up North, but lives in the South. On her third husband. Former military. Ruins every family gathering I’ve ever attended.

If you've seen the movie, you know that he's meaner than mean...

Did a small group course with a guy who was on the OBL raid
Not mean, quite nice and genuinely good person. But intense and "scary" by any objective measure.

I had a guy in my junior high school who put his dad in intensive care for two weeks. He accomplished the deed with.a bull whip.

I'll only give his first name - Maarten. I worked with him for a few years in the mid '90s and he was an older guy then so I presume he is likely deceased by now or close to it.
He was Rhodesian and served as a member of the Selous Scouts during Rhodesia's Bush War following their declaration of independence. Their fight was vs Mugabe's ZANLA which was a proxy for fellow communist Russia, Cuba and China who provided arms and training.
Had we, the UK or Australia supported the Rhodesians, they would have won easily despite being outnumbered over 10:1.
Google Selous Scouts and Rhodesian Bush War if you aren't familiar. He first person and freely admitted to me some absolutely terrible things he (they) did to other people - war crimes type stuff.

My ex-FIL was a Hell's Angels wannabe. Never met him until 2 years into the marriage. He was an absentee dad and his parents raised my (then) wife. He murdered a man, and got it reduced to manslaughter. Spent 10 years in jail for hitting a man with a 2x4 to the head to steal his Harley. When I left my ex-wife, and we were getting a divorce, I was at the post office getting mail, and he came up to my driver's side window and stuck a snub-nosed pistol in my face and told me, "your time is coming and you'll never see me until it's too late." Then he turned around and walked away
He was as serious as a heart attack. Scared the frick out of me. But a month later he was diagnosed with cancer in his pancreas and it killed him inside of two months. I dodged years of worrying about him and looking over my shoulder.
