Groucho Marx could’ve taken on Rickles and Carlin at the same time.

Tim Conway
Probably the greatest sketch comic that ever lived. His "Elephant Story" from the Carol Burnett Show is legend.
The Carol Burnett Show's cast of Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, and Vicki Lawrence is probably the greatest collection of sketch comics that has ever existed. The show did two tapings of the same show in front of an audience a week and they'd use the best performances and crowd reactions from the two tapings of each skit to air for the broadcast. Burnett, Korman, and Lawrence would always say that if a skit worked in the first taping and they got something that could be aired, they knew to look out. Conway would start ad-libbing during the same skit during the second taping trying to break the rest of the cast and often succeeding with something completely off the wall, like a story about seeing Siamese Elephants joined at the trunk or a new dentist learning about Novocaine or a German interrogator using a Hitler puppet.

I never found Pryor all that funny. Same with Robin Williams or Steve Martin.
Dangerfield was great and underrated.
Carlin is sorely missed and needed today so he could call out these wacky SJWs.
Chris Rock makes me laugh harder than anyone.
Phil Hartman may have had the best range so I’m going with Phil.
