That was unbelievable. The rocket is yuge. We watched it from West Palm Beach 150 miles away.

I remember being a kid thinking the sparks were what helped light the rockets and the water was to cool off the pad.

I believe it's been 50 years since a moon launch as part of a manned program. I was 5 years old and vaguely remember the last Apollo missions.
