Wait till China is on edge if financial collapse in about 5 years they will be backed into a corner. That will be interesting to see if they go w/ out a fight.

A multi-front war against the West is our greatest military threat. The main "axis" powers, in this case, would be Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.
The chances of our homeland being attacked are slim to none. But if Europe and/or Eastern Asia falls? We're next.
This is why NATO is so incredibly important and it pisses me off to no end to hear people wanting to dismantle an incredibly effective, affordable, and powerful deterrent to those despots looking to expand their reach. Be it Putin, Xi, Khamenei, or Un, I guarantee you they have a collective wet dream of the possibilities of their power if the US abandoned NATO.

Germany kicking the shite out of France every hundred years is a standing joke with my French and German buddies. No one is serious about it. Hell, when I was in Stuttgart a couple of months back my friends in the Bundespolizei were bemoaning the weakness of their government. They are less than a legitimate threat. I think they are the ones who will be overrun in the near future.

There are real reasons that the US can can take on the the rest of the world if push came to shove. A lot of it simply starts with location.
We have continental scale resources just in the lower 48. Both Canada and Mexico know they disappear if they ever allowed a military threat to come from their borders.
Not to mention that the US is the only nation that can project force on a global scale. The big boys of China and Russia have problems in their own regions.
