JT, not close. And the tonight show's audience is fairly narrow (though deep). I bet most Europeans and Asians don't know who Dave Letterman was. Timberlake is well known by folks in every major market in the world--including South America and even Africa.

Even if Fallon was the biggest comedian in the world, JT would still be more famous. Music recording artists are generally way more well known than actors. There has never been an actor as famous as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley or the Beatles. And how many actors are as big worldwide as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna and Lady Gaga? Maybe Leo and that's it.
