Meh. The food they eat at school is probably more harmful than the leftover smoke in the car.

How is any of that actually enforceable for starters and what HOA grants such powers as to charge crimes.

Good question. Nobody on our panel or employed by HOA or the citizens safety council actually has authority to make arrest. However we do have several appointed officials who work hand in glove with the sherrifs office to gather Intel, take part in evidence gathering and in rare occasions assist with operations.

Smoking is trashy as frick. Also it is illegal to smoke in your vehicle if you have a child in the car in Arkansas.

Rumors of a law banning this have been going aound

When these law proposals are posted on facebook, I am always shocked to see that 100% of the people that get upset are in fact white trash. "you're trying to take my freedom" or "government can't tell us what to do" or "Cig-rits make me cool, so I smoke hell yeah".

My parents did with us in the car. This was back in the 70s. The wanted to make sure our lungs were battle tested for when we got older.

Is there anything, seriously anything, more trashy than this? F-ing your cousin is less trashy than smoking in the car with young kids present.

If you dont mind me asking, how old were your kids when you (and your wife?) began smoking in the car when they were present?

My mother would let my baby sister ride standing up on the seat next to her.

I’m not a smoker. But I grew up in the 70s and early 80s where it was common. I remember once when I was a kid I reached for the car radio just as my grandmother went to put out her Pall Mall in the Ashtray of her 74 Buick Regal. Burned the shite out of the top of my hand. Her response was to tell me to pay more attention to what I was doing while she was lighting up another one.

My grandma used to do that to us as kids. Drove us nuts and would make us smell terrible if we had to go anywhere more than 10 minutes away.

Wont do that to my kids

I remember the car hitting the curbing on the Huey PLong bridge while my grandfather was trying to light up with a match. Bounce of the curb while he cupped that match to fire up. He could light a smoke in the rain and wind with a match.
